How do I pay for my purchases on Google Play in Russia?

Since May of last year, Russian users have been unable to fully utilize the accounts of the most popular mobile app market and more. The question of how to pay for Google Play in Russia in 2023 arises reasonably. Fortunately, there are ways, and today we will tell you about two working ones.

How to pay for Google Play in Russia: bypassing the blocking

The first method is based on changing the payment address in your profile. Before paying through Google Play in Russia, you need to do the following:

1. Open the service website on your computer and log in to your account (from which you intend to pay for updates to your mobile applications).
2. Activate the settings (three horizontal bars in the upper left part of the page).
3. Scroll down the page to find the payment profile settings and click on the "Country/Region" option by clicking on the pencil symbol.
4. Create a new profile.
5. Specify Turkey as your country of residence.
6. Next, in order to be able to pay for apps on Google Play from Russia, additionally enter the following information:
7. your name in English (you can use any name);
8. in the first two lines of the address, enter "Adana" (without quotation marks) in both lines;
9. enter the postal code 01010;
10. select Istanbul as the district;
11. The last field that needs to be filled is the state/region. Once again, specify Adana;
12. Complete the creation of the payment profile.
13. Click on the "View profile" button.
14. If you were unable to make payments on Google Play in the service for your purchases before, find the option "Payment profile for payment through the service". You need to open the drop-down list and select the Russian payment profile;
15. At the bottom of the page, find "Close payment profile" and use this option, specifying any reason;
16. In the same way, close all other payment profiles, leaving only the Turkish one;

Now you know how to pay for Google Play from your phone. Just remember that with this method, you can only pay for updates to apps that you have already purchased. To buy new ones, you will need a foreign account.
